The refrigerator and freezer on the Community Porch in Hoosick Falls NY filled with fresh produce and frozen food for the community

Fresh from the garden and the coop

Every spring and summer, fresh vegetables, herbs, and fruits from The Hoosick Community Garden are added to the porch. Grown by neighbors, free for the community.

We also keep fresh eggs on the porch. Our hens lay what they can, and a local farmer we teamed up with adds another twenty to twenty-five dozen a week to give away.

The garden is seasonal. Stop by in spring and summer to see what's growing.

Send something from anywhere

People from across the country ship donations directly to the porch. When something arrives, it goes straight on the porch for the community. We also have a deep freezer in the mud room for an abundance of frozen donations.
